The winner was Swiftsure Innovations, who are developing a novel endotracheal tube that will revolutionize oral care for mechanically ventilated patients. Congrats to all participants.

Sandpiper’s Sarah Young hosted a discussion between leading women venture capitalists from North America, Africa and Europe as they shares their insights on what they look for in early-stage start ups, including emerging trends and pragmatic tips for success for founders.
Rhiannon Davies was pleased to take part in the Atlantic Venture Forum Panel, “Meet the Investors” and share Sandpiper’s unique investment thesis with entrepreneurs in Atlantic Canada. She was joined by other leading VC funds from across Canada and the US in the reverse pitch format.
In May, Calgary-based investment platform The51 and the Atlantic Women’s Venture Fund created an initiative to support and fund women’s ventures across Canada. The partnership, called Canada51, is meant to serve as a national collective of organizations and individuals supporting women entrepreneurs in all areas of the country.
