Who you are:
We are looking for someone with 1-2 years of experience (through full time opportunity or co-op/internship placement) in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You have a relevant undergraduate degree, an interest in early-stage technology ecosystem and start-ups, and perhaps experience within the ecosystem.
You have strong Excel skills with the ability to efficiently handle large data sets, and ability to communicate the implications to your colleagues. In addition, you can prepare financial forecasts and analyze pro-forma financial statements.
You use your superior skills in financial analysis, financial modeling, and research to show how and why data matters. You have strong verbal and written skills and demonstrated ability to produce and deliver clear and concise oral, written and PowerPoint presentations.
As we’re a small and mighty team, we look for you to have excellent organization skills, be detail-oriented and have a self-starter mentality. We want you to take initiative and work independently, sometimes remotely. We are an “all hands” sort of organization and hope you are too! Even if you don’t have all the requirements listed in this position, you may be the right candidate. If you are an emerging leader with a strong attention to detail with financial analysis experience and expertise, we want to hear from you. Take a chance and apply. Tell us how you can make a difference.
We are a predominantly virtual organization, with ability to gather face to face regularly and as needed. We believe in supporting green and growing individuals at all stages of their career – ask our interns and co-op students how we support them! And we provide flexibility and understanding of the need to integrate all aspects of life into who you are when you’re part of the Sandpiper team.
The salary is competitive and will be discussed with our short-listed candidates. This is a full-time position, with associated vacation allotment and opportunities for annual performance bonuses.
